Michael and Ysabel met when they were 17 years old in late November of 2014. He was a Senior and she was a Junior. He is from San Marcos and she is from San Antonio. Believe it or not, they met through an app! Not knowing if they were being cat fished or not, they made plans to meet after talking for a month. Who knew an app called “Meet me”would bring them and these two families together years later! They Skyped and texted each other every day to get to know each other more. The first time they met in person was at North Star Mall in San Antonio December 2014. Ysabel had her friends Olivia and Jewel with her. Michael had his friend Michael (Blevins) drive him all the way from San Marcos to meet Ysabel at the mall. They ended up meeting in a Hot Topic! Ysabel scared Michael when she snuck up on him and said his name from behind a rubber bracelet rack. That was their first interaction in person🖤 From then on, they kept texting back and forth everyday and all night.On January 2, 2015, Michael asked Ysabel to be his girlfriend. Despite the distance, they were determined to make things work. Their first Date was Ysabel’s school Semi-Formal dance( Picture below). They danced the night away and also had their first kiss that night! Through the years, they’ve done so many things, traveled so many places and have gone through many ups and downs. No matter what, fate always brought them together. There’s no doubt about it, these two were meant to be!

They were on a family trip with Michaels family celebrating his parents anniversary on June 3rd. Starting out as a regular day in Magic Kingdom on their Disney World trip, going on rides as usual. Finally time to take pictures! Everyone insisted Ysabel and Michael take pictures first. They took a few pictures and the Disney photographer asked if Ysabel and Michael would like to take “magical” pictures. They said yes. Waiting to hear from the photographer on what poses to do for the camera, Michael says “what about something magical like this.” He reaches for something in his pocket and gets down in one knee and pulls out a ring! Time stops and it seemed like it was no one but them. Ysabel was so taken back she walked back three huge steps back and starts bawling! She couldn’t believe it! Michael didn’t even have to say a single word. She knew exactly what he was thinking in that exact moment. Once they were both able to take in this magical moment, she said yes! Magic Kingdom is the most magical place on Earth indeed!
