In early 2024, Ashley and Michael connected on a Christian dating app. Ashley's appearance and her active participation in her church caught Michael's attention, indicating to him that she is a sincere Christian. Michael had similar things on his profile but not many pictures. Ashley decided to give him a chance, and it turned out to be a wonderful decision. They messaged each other for weeks and even played a few rounds of Fortnite before having their first date on January 27. Ashley met a nervously awkward Michael, but she looked past it and did her best to ease his nervousness by talking about Jesus and dogs. From that date on, they chose to exclusively date. Since January 27, Michael has met Ashley's Dad and discovered they served in the same branch of the armed services, introduced Ashley to his family, attended different sports events, played mini golf (and the score stands at 1-1), met each other's friends, attended various events as a couple, and met each other's church family. By attending events with family, friends, and church family, it's clear that these two love each other and love the Lord. As 2024 comes to a close, they are eagerly anticipating their wedding on May 24, 2025, where they will unite in marriage with Christ at the center.
