PASSPORTS
Please remember to check if your passport has expired! The U.S. has improved on their processing times but you should still expect passport applications to take 4-6 weeks. Passports must be more than 6 months valid upon date of entry or you will be denied entry to Italy. (MUST BE VALID UNTIL AT LEAST APRIL 1, 2026)

ETIAS (European Travel International Information and Authorization System)
Starting middle of 2025, ETIAS travel authorization is an entry requirement for visa-exempt nationals traveling to any of these 30 European countries. It is linked to a traveler’s passport. and it is valid for up to 3 years or until the passport expires, whichever comes first. You can fill out the application form using either this official ETIAS website or the ETIAS mobile application. Applying for the ETIAS travel authorization costs 7 euros. Most applications are processed within minutes.

FLORENCE AIRPORT (FLR)
All main events will be held in/around Florence, Italy. Sometimes flight options are a little more limited/more expensive than flying into Rome.

ROME FIUMICINO AIRPORT (FCO)
Rome is a much larger airport and has more options for flights, as well as more affordable flight options coming from the US. From Rome you will need to take a high speed train to Florence -- about 1.5 hours and can cost anywhere from $20-$40 for a one-way ticket.
