We are foregoing a gift registry in favor of a celebration with you all. That said, we've received questions from loved ones who are unable to attend but want to send something. For those in this position, we welcome any contributions to our Honeymoon Fund (linked in the "Registry" tab above)
We'd love to see our family and friends dress up for the celebration. We welcome formal-to-semi-formal attire: floor-length, tea-length, midi formal dresses, suits, or any cultural attire of your preference. If you have any questions, please reach out to us.
Yes, but we ask that you be mindful of young children. We will have louder music, alcohol, and festive lights, so we ask that anyone with younger children or sensitivities exercise caution.
Due to capacity limitations, we are only able to accommodate +1s mentioned explicitly on your invitation. If you think an omission was made in error, please contact us and we will confirm.
Nigerian and Filipino receptions are festive celebrations. As we dance the night away, we encourage everyone to bring cash! Both Nigerian and Filipino weddings have a tradition of dancing for money and throwing dollars in the air. The act symbolizes prosperity, abundance, and support for the newlywed couple. We'll have people at the event who can help exchange cash if you'd like to participate and don't have bills on hand. We can't add links to this FAQ, but if you'd like a more visual aid, please Google/YouTube "Nigerian money spray wedding" or "Filipino wedding money dance" Most importantly, please come ready to dance and celebrate with us!
