Great place especially for tourists. Awesome street food, cafes, super clean and tons of shops. It's also very close to the Seoul tower and there are regular buses that take you up to the tower. Khiz really enjoyed here the first time he visited Seoul.

Sinsa-dong

This is another great place for tourists and it is located in one of the most popular areas in Seoul, Gangnam. There is a great tteok-boki (spicy rice cake) place here called Villa De Spicy (http://www.villadespicy.com/) where you can customize your tteok-boki any way you want. Khiz loves Tteok-boki and absolutely loved this place.

N Seoul Tower

Built in 1395, Gyeongbokgung Palace is also commonly referred to as the Northern Palace because its location is furthest north when compared to the neighboring palaces of Changdeokgung (Eastern Palace) and Gyeonghuigung (Western Palace) Palace. Gyeongbokgung Palace is arguably the most beautiful, and remains the largest of all five palaces. The premises were once destroyed by fire during the Imjin War (Japanese Invasions, 1592-1598). However, all of the palace buildings were later restored under the leadership of Heungseondaewongun during the reign of King Gojong (1852-1919). Remarkably, the most representative edifices of the Joseon Dynasty, Gyeonghoeru Pavilion and Hyangwonjeong Pond have remained relatively intact. Woldae and the sculptures of Geunjeongjeon (The Royal Audience Chamber) represent past sculptures of contemporary art. The National Palace Museum of Korea is located south of Heungnyemun Gate.

Amazing Beef Tartare! Gwangjang Market was the first permanent market in Korea and continues to thrive as a popular tourist destination today. The second floor of the market is filled with silk, satin, and linen bed-sheet stores, which are the largest and most famous in Seoul. Many of the stores in the area even have their own factories supplying fabrics to the Namdaemun Market, Pyoung Hwa Market, and even to some department stores. Even though the goods are not brand-name products, the wide selection of high quality goods at inexpensive prices makes it an enjoyable shopping experience.

Seoul Central Mosque

The mosque is located in downtown Seoul in Itaewon, Seoul Central Mosque is the first permanent mosque located in South Korea and is the only mosque in Seoul. The mosque was built in 1976, with the assistance of the Korean government and a large monetary contribution from Saudi Arabia and other Islamic countries. The mosque has three floors, which have different functions. On the first floor there is a Korean Muslim Federation offices and meeting rooms, while the prayer hall on the second floor and three. In this place also built a madrassa used as an Islamic educational institution for children, Islamic Culture Research Center and other Islamic organizations. Myeongdong Cathedral

Myeong-dong Cathedral is the Church for Archdiocese of Seoul and was also the birthplace for the Roman Catholic Church community in Korea. The church houses the remains of several individuals: Bishop Laurent Joseph Marie Imbert (1796-1839), and priests Peter Simon (1803-1839), James (Jacques Honor Chastan, 1803-1839) and Pourthie Jean Antoine Charles (1830-1866) and four martyrs. Myeong-dong Cathedral is located in downtown Seoul and tourists frequently come and visit the place. Near the cathedral are other tourism spots such as Namsangol Hanok Village preserving Korean traditional houses, N Seoul Tower overlooking Seoul and Namdaemun Market, a traditional market with a wide variety of food and goods.

Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP)

The Dongdaemun Design Plaza, also called the DDP, is a major urban development landmark in Seoul, South Korea designed by Zaha Hadid and Samoo, with a distinctively neofuturistic design characterized by the "powerful, curving forms of elongated structures". The landmark is the centerpiece of South Korea's fashion hub and popular tourist destination, Dongdaemun, featuring a walkable park on its roofs, large global exhibition spaces, futuristic retail stores and restored parts of the Seoul fortress.
