Flight

DCA - Reagan National Airport

Reagan is the closest airport to Washington DC. You can get to downtown DC or the suburbs by taking the Metro train directly from the airport. You can also take a taxi downtown for roughly $20 or order an uber for roughly $17. Taxi or uber to Rockville would be approximately $60 or $40 respectively.

Flight

BWI - Baltimore Washington International

BWI is the next convenient airport after DCA Reagan and sometimes has lower fares than flights to DCA. If booking a flight to BWI, keep in mind the extra time and cost involved witht his option as opposed to DCA. BWI to DC: $90 taxi or $60 uber should take about an hour. You can also take either Marc train ($7) or Amtrak ($15) to Union Station in DC from BWI (via free shuttle from airport to train station) and then either take Metro train, taxi, or uber from there. BWI to Rockville/Potomac: $95 taxi or $70 uber should take about 45 minutes. There's also an MTA bus (route 201) from BWI airport to Gaithersburg Metro station for $5 and then you can either take the Metro train, taxi, or uber.

Flight

IAD - Dulles

Dulles is the least preferred option in the DC area, but is an option should you find a great rate. It is roughly the same distance and cost to get to either DC or Rockville from Dulles. Travel should take about an hour to either. $5 shuttle to Metro (15 minutes) and then take Metro. Taxi is approximately $65 and uber is $47.
