We're Getting Married

We met in the crazy year of 2020, during a global pandemic. Our paths crossed virtually during the pandemic. To our surprise, we grew an instant connection and noticed how compatible we are. With our location being on 2 different islands, this created extra challenges into developing a strong relationship. Fast forward to 2025 and we are happily engaged and ready to begin this next chapter of our lives together. We are so excited to share this special day with all of you!

On an adventurous date from hiking Waihe'e Ridge Trail and beach day at Kamaol'e Beach Park, we began our long distance relationship.

Ryan made his first ever trip to the Big Island to meet Jessica's family. Together, we went bowling, pool hopping, and eating (our favorite thing to do)!

Ryan flys to Kona to celebrate Jessica's 27th Birthday. A big party where Ryan meets Jessica's LARGE extended family! It was a fun time, sharing in many conversations and laughter.

Jessica joined Ryan and his family on a trip to San Francisco. While enjoying many meals, Jessica got to experience her first MLB and NFL games in person. It was an epic experience!

Jessica flew to Maui and celebrated Palm Sunday with Ryan. On this weekend, Ryan took Jessica to the Hyatt Regency Kaanapali to see live Penguins (her favorite). After, we had lunch at Cool Cate Cafe on Front Street, Lahaina.

Jessica attends Ryan's cousin's (Kellen) wedding where she meets Ryan's extended family for the first time. The trip and event was filled with good food, and many fun memories.

Ryan and Jessica go to Disneyland for the holiday season! Nicole (Jessica sister) and Jeff (boyfriend) were also there to enjoy the rides, food, and holiday decor.

Ryan attends Jessica's cousin's (Karen) wedding. On this trip, Ryan secretly asks Jessica's immediate family for their blessing to marry Jessica.

Ryan plans a surprise proposal. Ryan and his parents secretly fly into Kona. Jessica and family "discover" Ryan at Mauna Lani Beach Resort. Jessica was so surprised and started crying immediately (typical). We had a photo shoot and a blended family dinner following the surprise proposal.

Ryan takes Jessica on her first ever cruise on the Discovery Princess. He took her on a 7 day Alaskan Cruise. Fun fact: Jessica thought Ryan was going to propose on this trip. Little did she know Ryan planned this trip to celebrate their engagement.

Ryan and Jessica attended the Catholic Engaged Encounter Weekend at St. Joseph's church in Hilo where they learned about the sacrament of matrimony.

Ryan received his first holy communion and confirmation on Divine Mercy Sunday at St. Michael's, the parish where our wedding ceremony will be held. Congratulations Ryan!
