Yanique is the brides first cousin. She has been by her side since birth. The bride has always been able to depend on her cousin. She has played the role of her confidant, therapist, partner in crime and sister. Despite her reputation of being late to everything she has always been on time for Yolande when she has truly needed her. The two of them have been thru so much in Yolande's life and the bride owes her survival through so many situations to her. She is loyal, wise and dependable and these are just a few of her traits that were why the couple chose her to be one of the godmothers to their girls. Q is the brides best friend. They met over 20 years ago at Morgan State University. The two were classmates and a organization on campus was hosting a trip to Daytona Beach and with none of their current circle of friends going they decided to be roommates on that trip They later became actual roommates at school. It was Q along with a great friend of Jamil's that led to the couple's introduction. These two ladies have endured countless ups and downs in their lives and have traveled to several places together. Regardless of there locations the sisterhood they built has been unbreakable. Their uncontrollable laughter leaves them in tears. Q is a whole vibe full of energy to dance out any storm. She is honest, trustworthy, driven, dependable and so greatly respected that the bride and groom chose her to be one of the Godmothers to their beautiful daughters. These two are forever bonded and having Q as her Maid of Honor means the world to Yolande. She will forever be Yolande's sister💜

Latiana is the brides little sister though one could never tell from looking at the two of their heights. The two of them share the same mother and are 12 years apart. Latiana is strong, intelligent and driven and the bride admires her. She always stands up for what she believes in and is one of hardest workers she knows. She is a talented, driven and an all around awesome person who goes above and beyond to help those around her. She never hesitates to take the lead and knows how to have fun while getting things done. The bride knows that Latiana will always have her back. O'Kisha and Yolande grew up in nearby towns and shared similar friends. As they began to apply to colleges they both chose to head off to Morgan State University. There they bonded living in the same dorm and becoming Iota sweethearts. They formed a true sisterhood and created memories that they can laugh about to this day. The bride bonded with Kisha's family as well and grew to count on Kisha. Now located miles away from each other. Yolande still considers her a very important part of her life. She is a genuine person and the bride holds a great deal of respect for her. Kisha always brings the laughs when Yolande and Jamil are around her. She will always tell you like it is and will give her last for the people she loves. The bride appreciates her and is truly happy she is able to be a part of this day💜

Kelly and Yolande met at Morgan State University over 20 years ago after both of them had chosen to become Iota sweethearts. Yolande found Kelly to be a very dear friend throughout the years. No matter their distance, Kelly has always been there to provide an ear for Yolande. Yolande knows that Kelly will always be there for her no matter what the situation is and that Kelly will always find a way to make her laugh. She's is as authentic as they come and a very relatable friend for Yolande. She has grown to feel more like a sister. The bride was so thankful to be asked to be her sons Godmother and truly treasures Kelly and her family. It doesn't matter how much time has passed In between speaking or seeing one another, these two will pick back up like no time has passed. Nicole is the brides longest friend. The two met when Yolande was only 5 yrs old. Yolande lived upstairs from her for quite some years and Nicole's family became an extention of Yolande's family. As they grew life took them in separate directions and they later reconnected as adults. Their bond was re-established and soon Jamil created his own bond with her husband Justin and each of the families youngest daughter formed their own bond. Their family is now an extention to Yolande and Jamil and with that they could not see having this ceremony without both Nicole and Justin in their wedding party. Nicole is strong, resilent, confident, beautiful and caring and the bride respects and admires the woman she has grown to be. She is truly thankful for the 2nd family her family has been to her throughout the years💜

Suset and the bride met in elementary school living across the street from one another. Together they spent many days playing outside together. Suset later moved and the girls went on separate paths. After coming back from college, Yolande reconnected with her realizing how similar their lives were. Jamil soon met her husband Raheem and they formed a bond instantly. The bride and groom have a great respect for the couple and appreciate them both and were so happy they both agreed to be a part of this day. Suset always makes a point to make sure all those around her are taken care of and loves to have a good time. She's honest, supportive and loyal and her laid back attitude fits just right with the bride. Nicole and the bride met a little over 10 years ago living next door to one another. The two ended up giving birth to daughters that became best friends. Nicole and Yolande’s relationship naturally grew as the two spent so much time together with their children. Nicole grew to be someone the bride could really talk to and the friend she spends the most time with. Their friendship has grown so much over the years. Having her as part of this special day means so much to her. Their personalities mesh so well together and they are able to just to hang talking about nothing to everything. As the years passed he grew to be family to her. Moshe never fails to show up for either of them when they need him. Tamil is in his second year of college studying to obtain his occupational therapy degree. He is extremely intelligent, strong and driven. He inherited his comedic behavior from his dad and can light up a room at the drop of a dime.
