Please consider wearing formal or cocktail attire. (For those who want more concrete guidelines: for men, we'd suggest a suit & tie, for women, we'd suggest dresses.)
We recommend arriving 20-30 minutes early, so that you have plenty of time to park, receive programs, and be seated. Also, you'll arrive in time for the organ prelude, which begins at 2:10pm.
Yes! The cathedral has a parking garage directly to the right/underneath of it. The reception venue has a parking lot behind it. You can also use nearby street parking.
Absolutely! We love kids. Please list their names on your RSVP card so we know how many to expect.
Unless otherwise indicated on your wedding invitation address, we ask that you not bring a guest. Spouses and serious boyfriends/girlfriends are welcome. (If you're unsure about a particular situation, just contact us and ask!)
Please consider donating to one of our favorite charities, listed under the "registry" tab on our website. We want to use our special day to help benefit others.
Yes! We are blocking two hotels for our guests (thank you for traveling for our special day!). This information will be listed under the "travel" tab.
If you don't have a car, we recommend taking a cab or an Uber -- they are usually easy to spot in the city. If for some reason you can't find a cab, you can call "DC Yellow Cab" at 202-544-1212 or "DC Taxi Service" at (202) 412-7049. You can also take a metro train -- by using the red line train to Glenmont from Dupont Circle to Brookland/CUA (although, this will entail 20-30 minutes of walking). If you have any concerns about this, let us know! We can try to pair you with someone who is driving.
