We have a fun story (or "meet-cute," as David would say). We both lived on the East Coast, but it wasn't until we traveled to Israel that we met! Katie's job awarded her with the trip abroad -- a trip which also happened to be on the bucket list of David's mother. We signed up for the same tour, which we expected to include a bus full of people. But there ended up being five of us: David's family, Katie, and her best friend. Needless to say, we got to know each other pretty well. David and Katie kept in touch afterwards, and, a couple months later, David visited Katie in D.C. from Pennsylvania. The rest, as they say, is history. (Another cute tidbit: When we visited the Western Wall, David's mother inserted a prayer in one of the crevices that he would meet someone. We couldn't have asked for a better Matchmaker.)
