Yani is Ren’s little sister. Growing up they loved pretending to be princesses, playing handball against the front door, and eating cut up fruit. Yani lives in the Bay Area and looks forward to frequent visits from Ren, David and Moses.
Amy Yin

Amy met Ren during freshman orientation. She had asked Harvard to match her with another Chinese American roommate, to feel a sense of shared identity after growing up in Wisconsin without Chinese female friends. They lived in a two bedroom dorm Wigglesworth with four girls total, bonding late nights over boys, parties, engineering, dating and adulting. Amy and Ren became fast friends, taking wild trips to Beijing, France, and Mexico while in college and living together throughout college. After college they were both in the Bay Area for a few years while Ren was at Uber and Amy was an engineer at Hired and Coinbase. Even though Amy still lives in SF and Ren is on the East Coast, they still manage to see each other almost monthly!
