CHARLESTON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (CHS)
Kiawah Island is about 45 minutes from Charleston International Airport. Rideshare (Uber and Lyft) services are sometimes available at the airport but are often unreliable with a low volume of availability. Ubers will be able to access the island, but Lyft will charge a fee. Uber and Lyft services are not available once on Kiawah Island. We highly recommend renting a car, especially if you are not staying at a Kiawah Island Golf Resort property. There are a number of car rental options available at the airport.

The Sanctuary
The Sanctuary is an oceanfront luxury 5-star resort centrally located on the island. The hotel is part of the Kiawah Island Golf Resort. Rooms are $400+/night. Guests at The Sanctuary have access to complimentary shuttles. These will take you to any resort restaurant or amenity across the island.
House Or Rental
Kiawah Island Golf Resort Home Rentals
The Kiawah Island Golf Resort also offers Airbnb-style villa and home rentals. If you choose to stay at one of these properties, you will have access to the resort amenities at The Sanctuary as well as the complimentary shuttles. For villa rentals, we recommend booking in the East Beach village area due to proximity to resort activities, including Mariner’s Watch and Windswept villas (oceanfront) and Turtle Point, Turtle Cove, and Parkside villas (short walk to the ocean). Hotel
Andell Inn, Kiawah island
Located in Freshfields Village (the "downtown" of Kiawah), this is the most affordable hotel option on the island.

In addition to the house rentals available through Kiawah Island Golf Resort, there are a number of Airbnbs and Vrbos for rent. These rentals vary in price and are our recommendation for groups of 5-6 friends/family.
