We had volunteered together at Camp Outdoors for a few years, but it wasn't until that Monday after camp in 2018 that we had our first real conversation in the parking lot of the Motor Lodge thanks to some good friends and a half a bottle of wine. We didn't know it then, but we were going to fall in love.

We got engaged under a bridge with a troll surrounded by folks who love and support us. All that AND there was a cat wearing a bow tie. The Fremont Troll is a special spot for us because a year earlier, we had visited that very same spot with some of the very same people on what was the first out of town trip we took together as a couple. The proposal was just perfect for us!
