Most importantly, Andrew and Christine are still getting married. If you're available, come to the Buffalo History Museum on May 25th for the ceremony. It will still be at 1 pm and we're asking guests to arrive by 12:40 pm. We're going to see how many people are still able to come, and we will plan a small-scale party to act as sort of a mini-reception after the wedding. We'll get those details to everyone as soon as possible. When we are able to, we're going to have the party we always hoped for, and you will all be invited then as well.
Dear friends and family, We have had to make the extremely difficult decision to postpone the celebration of our marriage, due to financial hardship. We are still getting married May 25, but we can no longer host the reception we have worked so hard on for the past year. We did everything we could to still make our wedding work as planned, but had to accept that it is no longer possible. We will reschedule the party at a later date. We will still have our wedding ceremony at the Buffalo History Museum, and any of our guests who would still like to attend are welcome. We are currently looking for low-cost options to have a smaller scale gathering after the wedding for anyone who would like to come. We’ll send the details of that event as soon as we have them. All of our vendors have graciously allowed us to reschedule their services for sometime in 2025 or 2026 with no penalty, and we could not be more grateful to them. We are very sorry to have to do this, especially with such short notice. We especially want to apologize to anyone who has been planning to travel for our wedding. We were holding onto hope that we would find a way to make this work, and had to accept that we couldn't. In the last year, we have faced well over $20,000 of urgent, unexpected expenses. We've had major home and vehicle repairs as well as multiple health issues. Our dog, Olivia, had almost nonstop medical emergencies for months, and after several procedures, we had to say goodbye to her. On top of everything, Andrew was laid off from his job 2 months ago and is still unemployed. We recognize that many of you will not be able to attend both this and a party at a currently unknown later date, and want everyone to make the decision that is best for them. Thank you for your understanding and support. While we are disappointed that we cannot celebrate our wedding the way we intended, we are still so happy and excited to be getting married.
Our dress code, and this is important to us, is that you come in whatever makes you feel the most comfortable and confident: any level of formality. Tuxedo and cummerbund? Great! Dinosaur Onesie? Fun! We want our guests to look and feel their best, whatever that means to you! If it makes you happy and you can get to the building without being arrested, you've nailed it.
Yes! Your kids are welcome if you want to bring them! Please keep in mind there will be a sit down dinner, open bar, and dancing. Please let us know if your kids will want the full dinner, a kid's meal, or not eat a meal at all (there will be plenty of other food!).
The Buffalo History Museum and Resurgence Brewing Company both have large parking lots. Resurgence also has a lot of street parking. We know this is the right place for us because we always seem to be able to park right in front of the door!
Please let us know of any allergies or dietary restrictions, and we will make sure it is accommodated!
