It's hard to believe it's been over 13 years since our paths crossed! We came to US together as a team 10 years ago and lived/studied together for 2 years, and we've become the closest of friends ever since. We've shared adventures together, from soaking up the Hawaiian sun to exploring the Alaskan wilderness. Even though life has taken us to different states, the distance hasn't dimmed our friendship. We know no matter what, we'll always be there for each other.

Ruosen and I crossed paths while grinding through our PhD applications in college about 9 years ago. By some wild stroke of luck, we both ended up at the Wisconsin. There have been numerous moments shrouded in darkness in the PhD journey, times when I doubted my ability to persevere. During these times, Ruosen is always ready to lend a hand without a second thought. I am truly grateful to have Ruosen by my side.
