Our story began in October 2014 in Los Angeles. We met when a mutual friend stopped by work to visit and brought Isaac along. At the time, Isaac was 21 and serving in the Marine Corps at Camp Pendleton, and I was 18, working as a waitress. Neither of us expected that meeting to lead to everything that followed. That same night, we ended up at a Halloween party together, talked for hours, and started a connection that only grew stronger. We exchanged numbers and kept in touch, and over time, friendship turned into something more. One of our favorite early memories is a sunny day exploring the Getty Museum—just the two of us walking through exhibits and gardens. On February 7, 2016, we made it official. Later that year, we moved in together in Northern California. It wasn’t always easy, but we learned, adjusted, and became stronger as a couple. On January 22, 2021, we took a weekend trip to Carmel-by-the-Sea. During a sunset walk on the beach, Isaac proposed. The sky was glowing pink, yellow, and orange. The moment was simple, emotional, and just perfect. We celebrated with dinner and shared the news with our families the next day. In May 2021, we made the big move to Michigan with the goal of planting roots. We wanted to be closer to family and longtime friends, and to begin the next chapter of our lives in a place that felt more grounded. On May 17, 2024, after years of hard work and patience, we bought our first home together. We've poured so much love, effort, and dedication into making it a peaceful space—one where we can grow, dream, and someday start a family. We officially tied the knot on September 26, 2024, in a small, intimate civil ceremony at City Hall with our closest family present. It was a beautiful moment filled with love and meaning. What we value most is how deeply we care for one another. We’ve grown together, supported each other, and built a life filled with love, patience, and loyalty. We’re now looking forward to our convalidation ceremony in the Catholic Church on September 20, 2025—a chance to have our marriage blessed and to celebrate with our loved ones and our faith.
