MARIN - SIGHTS For a walk through the majestic Redwood trees, visit Muir Woods. Head's up, though, this is a very popular destination, so you have to make shuttle or parkings reservations in advance.
TIBURON - SHOPPING In case you forgot any necessities back home, there's a CVS less than a block away from the Tiburon Lodge!
TIBURON - SIGHTS, EXERCISE For a scenic jog or walk by the Bay, take the Tiburon bike path stretching for three miles from Elephant Rock Pier to Blackie's Pasture. You'll even pass Liz's elementary school on the way.
MARIN - FOOD & DRINK If you're planning to drive from Marin up to wine country, take a pit stop at our favorite coffee shop. Philz only serves pour over coffee, and you can choose how creamy and/or sweet. Ryan recommends the mocha Tesora. Liz's parents will tell you to try the Julie's Ultimate or the Jacob's Wonderbar. For a unique treat, Liz recommends the iced mint mojito. There are also multiple locations in San Francisco.
SAN FRANCISCO - SIGHTS Visit Crissy Field for a walk on the beach by the Bay, right under the Golden Gate Bridge.
MARIN - SIGHTS This is a nice Northern California beach and beach town in Marin if you want to visit the ocean. Just know that NorCal beaches are not warm like SoCal beaches, so it's unlikely you'll get much sunbathing in, and the water is very chilly.
MARIN - SIGHTS This is another beach in Marin that you can combine with a trip to Muir Woods or a hike on Mount Tam. Again, though, it probably won't be too warm, so it's unlikely you'll get much sunbathing in, and the water will be cold.
MARIN - SIGHTS, FOOD & DRINK, SHOPPING Sausalito is an artsy town on the Bay, right across the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco. Take the ferry or drive over from Tiburon for food, drinks, shopping, and sights. Favorite spots include Sushi Ran, Fish, Bar Bocce, and the Munchies candy store.
MARIN - SIGHTS Take a drive through the Marin Headlands for breathtaking views of San Francisco, the Bay, the Pacific Ocean, the Golden Gate Bridge, and Marin. Lots of areas to pull over for photo ops here, and if you decide to take a page out of Ryan's book and rent a zippy sports car, the windy open roads will not disappoint.
MARIN - SIGHTS, EXERCISE For great hiking, head up to Mount Tam, where you can find trails of various difficulty and length, winding through forest, hillside, and ocean view terrain. Liz's favorite path is Mount Davis, connecting to the Coastal trail.
MARIN - SIGHTS This animal rescue center was a favorite spot of Liz's as a child, allowing an up close and personal look at sea lions, seals, and other SF Bay marine life.

If you'd rather travel by foot, there are also many great tasting rooms in Sonoma Plaza that you can walk to.
