'Savin' lives, takin' numbers' was his tagline while posted in The Chair. 'Onesie swimsuits have less drag,' she claimed. Quite a cheesy start to what would end up being a forever-us. -- After this introduction, Liz and Ryan took things slowly, dating for a short time the following year at Kenyon, and then parting ways while they soaked up the end of their time as college kids. It wasn't until they spotted each other across the Cove (RIP) as alumni that they admitted that initial splash in the pool never left their minds. A year and a half of long phone calls and weekend trips later, Ryan made Liz both his Southwest companion and his roommate/landlord. Ryan and Liz built their life together in NYC out of morning coffees at Stumptown, daytime strolls through the West Village, nights out with friends, and evenings of people (and dog) watching in Washington Square. Then one night in May, Ryan turned the tables and gave the other people in the park something to talk about when he got down on one knee under the arch, surprising Liz with some extra sparkle in the pages of one of their favorite Kenyon-authored books. Now Liz & Ryan look forward to bringing their closest family and friends together in California to celebrate the next chapter!
