Hotel
We’ve chosen the Zócalo Central Hotel as our home base for the weekend due to its perfect location for our celebration. The wedding will be held on the hotel’s beautiful terrace, offering stunning views of Zócalo Plaza and the historic landmarks around it. We highly recommend staying there for ultimate convenience and to fully experience the heart of the city during our special day. Travel Note
We chose to get married during Día de Muertos weekend in Mexico City because this special holiday reflects our belief that love transcends time—"til death do us part" takes on a deeper meaning for us. In our culture, death is not seen as a final end but as part of the ongoing cycle of life. Día de Muertos is a time when families honor their ancestors, celebrating both life and death with joy, remembrance, and vibrant rituals. This view of death as a continuation, rather than an ending, felt like the perfect way to mark the beginning of our own journey together. That said, it’s also a busy time in the city with many tourists, parades, and events, so we recommend booking your travel well in advance and arriving early to fully experience the magic of the weekend. (and make it in time for the party!)
