It all started with a "DM". Xavier direct messaged Jade on Instagram after a mutual exchange of picture liking. The two exchanged numbers, realizing they were both from Raleigh and had mutual friends. Their first date was to the movies to see "Almost Christmas." In true North Carolina fashion, they ended the night at Cook-Out, as it was the only thing open after the movies. From there the two stayed in communication and their relationship grew.

In July of 2021, Xavier and Jade closed on their first home together. A few weeks after, Jade's father calls her asking to take Jade and Xavier out to eat to celebrate their latest accomplishment - he noted that he wanted to invite Xavier's parents too and they could work out the details later in the week. A few days later, Jade goes over to her parent's home and discusses the dinner with her dad. Jade's dad instructs her to look at a few restaurants and make a reservation - she does, and the reservation is set for Firebirds on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at 5 pm. Saturday comes and Jade and Xavier arrive at the restaurant - Xavier begins by thanking both sets of parents for their help and support and asks Jade to stand up and he proposes! She of course says YESSSS and the two gain over 120K likes on Jade's engagement post.

We will be getting married at the Highgrove Estate in Fuquay-Varina on September 3, 2023. The ceremony will commence at 6pm, followed by a cocktail hour and reception. We look forward to having fun and celebrating this next chapter of our lives with you!
