Nicolle, a Puerto Rican, and Xan from the Basque Country, met in Spain back in 2021. After a few months of chatting, they went on their very first date in the heart of Madrid on Friday, September 17th.. and they've been inseparable ever since. Three months later, during a trip to Segovia, Xan wanted to make things official, so he asked Nicolle to be his girlfriend. From that moment, Segovia became their place. And just a couple of weeks later, they were driving to Bayonne (Xan's hometown) for Christmas to introduce her to his family. She remembered being so nervous about not knowing a single word of French. Later on, he obviously couldn't resist seeing Nicolle every day (oui!), so even before their first anniversary, they decided to move in together. Fun fact: they're still in the same cozy apartment in Chamberí. Fast forward to January 18th, 2025, in Puerto Rico, Xan popped the second and most memorable question, asking Nicolle to marry him, turning a trip home into one they'll never forget. Now, on September 18th, 2026, exactly five years and one day after their very first date, they're getting married in Segovia, Spain - right where their story began. Back where it all sparked, and just getting started! ------------------------------------------- 🇫🇷 Nicolle, Portoricaine, et Xan, Basque, se sont croisés sur une appli de rencontre en 2021 à Madrid. Après quelques mois de messages, ils se sont enfin rencontrés en vrai le 17 septembre… et depuis, plus moyen de les séparer. Tout a pris un nouveau tournant lors d’un voyage à Ségovie : Xan a officialisé leur histoire, et la ville est devenue leur endroit à eux. Quelques semaines plus tard, direction Bayonne pour Noël, afin que Nicolle rencontre la famille de Xan. Elle n’oubliera jamais son stress à l’idée de ne rien comprendre au français. Pas question de se quitter après ça : avant même leur premier anniversaire, ils ont emménagé ensemble dans leur appartement cosy de Chamberí… où ils sont toujours aujourd’hui. Le 18 janvier 2025, à Porto Rico, Xan a passé la vitesse supérieure en demandant Nicolle en mariage, transformant un simple voyage en souvenir mémorable. Et maintenant, le 18 septembre 2026, pile cinq ans et un jour après leur premier rendez-vous, ils se disent oui à Ségovie, là où tout a commencé. Retour aux sources… et l’histoire continue.
