Hiking in the Wasatch Mountains
There are so many beautiful trails to explore in the Wasatch mountains. Pick your level of difficulty but remember the altitude can reach over 10,000 feet and many an out of towner have had altitude sickness, or Search and Rescue has to be called out for a rescue. So don't expect to hit the black diamonds until you are acclimated and feeling prepared. Check out this great resource for trails and basics.
Visit Salt Lake
Take of tour of 12 of Salt Lake’s best breweries and brewpubs. Long-known by locals yet surprising many first-time visitors, Salt Lake’s Brewmasters have been refining their craft for decades, to create some of the most enjoyable, and awarded, beers in North America.
Park City
Yes, this is the town where the Sundance Film Festival takes place each January. Check out main street for interesting shops and restaurants. It’s bordered by the Deer Valley Resort and the huge Park City Mountain Resort, both known for their ski slopes. Utah Olympic Park, to the north, hosted the 2002 Winter Olympics and is now predominantly a training facility. In town, Main Street is lined with buildings built during a 19th-century silver mining boom.
