so it begins

May 26, 2024. From the very first date, there was a strong spark; something that neither of them expected. The conversation was silly, easy, and it felt familiar as they walked the Stockade in Schenectady. This turned into more long walks, gym sessions, outdoor excursions, dancing in the kitchen while cooking, many coffees, good morning texts, "I got home safe" texts, and outings with friends. Their relationship bloomed into something substantial, gentle, fulfilling and genuine. They decided it was more than appropriate to name May 26th the day they actually started dating. I am sure you've heard the saying "when you know, you know"... It did not take very long for them to realize they were each other's person. They knew they wanted to start the rest of their lives together as soon as possible, while also enjoying the slow days of getting to know one another on a deeper level. While they are both very independent individuals and have been forging paths of their own, they knew they have been waiting for each other for a very long time. Finally, the stars aligned and their paths in life merged. In one another they found a partner, a lover, and a best friend. On Saturday October the 4th, 2025, the question was asked; "will you make me the luckiest person and marry me?" which was responded with a tearful, "of course". It was a lovely day along the walking trails behind where they had their second date; surrounded by autumn leaves, the bright sun and not a soul in sight. It was the private quiet moment they dreamed of with a gorgeous ring and many laughs and tears to tie it all together. "You are my yesterday, my today, and my tomorrow". They could not imagine moving through this life without one another... ...and they cannot wait to share this day with all of you!
