Miracle Mile & Downtown Coral Gables

A premiere destination for shopping, dining, and entertainment in Coral Gables. Miracle Mile is located on Coral Way between LeJeune Road and Douglas Road as part of the Central Business District. Even if you do not plan to shop or dine, The Mile, as it’s locally known, is simply a great place for a stroll in Miami – just one of the rights of passage for any visitor to The Magic City. The Loews Hotel and Courtyard Marriot Hotel on the hotel room blocks are walking distance with no car needed. The THesis Hotel is about a 9 minute Uber/Lyft ride.

Biltmore Golf Course Miami

The Miami Biltmore hotel aka "The Biltmore" is an iconic hotel in Coral Gables and a National Historic Landmarks in South Florida. The Biltmore Golf Course is an 18-hole, par-71 championship course. This course is definitely nicer than the Coral Gables Country Club Golf course, but more difficult to get a tee time so book ahead!

Granada Golf Course

A par 36 nine-hole course located in Coral Gables and right outside our wedding venue and very close to the hotel blocks. A good course for beginners. It is a public course so easier to get reservations.

Venetian Pool

This unique aquatic facility has been enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of people since 1923. The Venetian Pool is fed by spring water from an underground aquifer and is refilled daily, with over 820,000 gallons of water. The pool features two waterfalls and cave-like grottos for a fun experience for all swimmers. There is a fee to enter- please see website for more info. PLEASE NOTE*** Venetian pool went under construction in September with notice of reopening in SPRING 2024, so please check that it has reopened if this is something you plan to do!

CocoWalk

Dubbed “Miami’s original neighborhood,” Coconut Grove is an eclectic waterfront enclave with a rich history as the oldest continually inhabited neighborhood in the city. Beyond its recent real estate boom, Coconut Grove is a pretty little neighborhood with some of Miami’s most beautiful architecture and pockets that are full of character. There are lots of shops and restaurants, see link for more details.

Regatta Grove

Cute spot for daytime drinks/hanging for some waterfront views in Coconut Grove neighborhood. I would not recommend the food only the vibes. Located about a 10 minute drive from Loews Hotel

Monty's Raw Bar

waterfront tiki hut setting bar/restaurant, they have happy drinks and raw bar, a good spot for during the day, in Coconut Grove Neighborhood, about an 8 minute drive from the Loews Hotel.

Miami Beach can be broken up into a trio of beaches/neighborhoods: 1. MIAMI BEACH: SOUTH BEACH See the Miami Beach you know from the movies in the iconic South Beach neighborhood! Please remember that March is prime time for spring breakers and can get crowded and rowdy so be early and be safe! Parking can be a hassle and expensive so grabbing a ride-share car like Uber/Lyft might be your best bet! ( about a 27 min drive from Loews Hotel) If baking on the beach is not your thing you can always rent a Citibike and explore the neighborhood or walk along Ocean Drive! 2. MIAMI BEACH: MID BEACH Enjoy a combination of “South Beach cool” and “North Beach calm” in Mid Beach. (about a 30 min drive from Loews Hotel) Mid-beach has a favorite spot of ours THE FREEHAND MIAMI, home to one of our favorite cocktail bars "Broken Shaker" and home to "27 Restaurant". 3. MIAMI BEACH: NORTH BEACH The "relaxed" Miami Beach neighborhood that runs from 60th street to town of Surfside. (35 min)

Wynwood Walls

Miami is also home to the Wynwood Arts District also called "Wynwood" is an artsy neighborhood of Miami. Its focal point is Wynwood Walls, an outdoor museum made up of giant wall murals. Covering six buildings, these walls have become a blank canvas for major artists all over the world. Wynwood walls is an outdoor street art museum. The Wynwood Arts District was named one of America's best hipster neighborhoods by Forbes Magazine. If you visit Wynwood walls there is more to do in the surrounding area including shopping, food, and drinks.

Miami Design District

Miami Design District is arguably the most iconic neighborhood in not just Miami, but also in Florida. This neighborhood stretches north of midtown Miami and the I95, right in Palm Court, and is about 18 blocks long. Miami Design District is a must-visit for locals and tourists alike, a haven of the finest luxury brands, stunning art galleries, and public art installations.
