How We Met

It all started with a swipe right...

We met the good old fashioned way - by swiping right on each other's profiles on a dating app! We quickly decided that meeting each other in person was a must, and enjoyed a cocktail together at a rooftop overlooking Downtown Tampa, bonding over our love for financial modeling (nerds - we know). We both were persistent with planning dates with each other, letting our intentions be known early on - something that was seriously refreshing for the both of us. One date turned into two, into five, into ten. Wyatt wooed Sarah with his DJ skills, and Sarah kept Wyatt coming around with promises to bring along her dog, Susie the Cockapoo. We knew pretty early on, "this is it." Living life to the absolute fullest every day has been our mantra, and we are so excited for you to celebrate with us on the biggest day of them all!

How He Asked

"Why are you throwing the boat in neutral, we're in the middle of a busy channel?!"

It was indeed a beautiful day on the water, so we took the boat out to Beer Can Island with Wyatt's cousins, Brooke and Alex. We enjoyed the sand, the sun, the cold beers. We were cruising back up the Hillsborough River through downtown Tampa. I (Sarah) was sitting at the front of the boat admiring the skyscrapers and also getting a little anxious with how busy the channel was that day with other boaters. All the sudden, Wyatt throws the boat in neutral and I hollered, "Why are you throwing the boat in neutral in such a busy channel!?" ...only to turn around and see Wyatt on a (partially) bended knee on his Yeti cooler with a ring in hand. It all happened so fast - I apparently didn't say "YES!" for what seemed like a lifetime to Wyatt. Alas, the champagne was popped! With my arms around Wyatt, I was facing The Riverwalk and noticed my best friend (and now maid of honor), Michelle, and her husband Jason, standing there taking pictures! Wyatt had arranged for them to fly down from New Jersey for the special day. My brother, Thomas, was also hiding in the bushes taking pictures from the University of Tampa. The surprises didn't stop there though; Wyatt had arranged for both of our immediate families to be waiting down the river at Armature Works for a celebration. It truly was the best day.
