Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre
This is a very important place for both of us! Wendy went to elementary school close by and William graduated high school here! We've also both spent recreational time here and highly recommend taking in the view, hiking or walking the grounds, or catching a concert while you're here!
Green Mountain Trail
If you'd like to take a nice hike and take in a view of the city, Green Mountain is your place! Also, William attended Green Mountain High School at the base of this mountain.
Downtown Golden
Downtown Golden offers tons of great restaurants, breweries, little shops, and outdoor adventures! You can float the creek in a raft or inner tube or catch a movie in the park. Golden used to be the territorial capital of Colorado before it was a state, you can even eat at 'The Capital Grill' (in the old capital building).
Teller's Taproom & Kitchen
This has been a favorite restaurant of ours for YEARS and is right next to the first house we lived in together. PLEASE go eat there if you're looking for a place to spend some time while you're in town. Some nights they even have live, local musicians!
Buffalo Bill's Grave
While there is some debate about if Buffalo Bill is actually buried here, there is a great view from the grounds! Definitely check it out if you'd like to learn more about local history and get a lay of the land!
The Cow An Eatery
Wendy used to go to The Cow (then The Blue Cow) after school to get ice cream with her friends or family! While The Cow is definitely THE BEST restaurant in Morrison, there are plenty of other places to eat and shop in this sweet and small downtown!
Bear Creek Lake Park
Wendy and William both grew up going to this park quite often! There is a beautiful lake, lots of walking/running trails, a nature center, and horseback riding!
Earth Treks Golden
For the rock climbing enthusiast! William and Wendy have spent many an hour in this gym!
