Steph & Jarrett
Our Story
The couple began their path in high school band—Jarrett on saxophone, Steph on trombone. As drum majors they quickly became best friends and confidants. Countless hours were spent driving around Ramsey, listening to music, singing, and talking about everything. They left high school as good friends—Jarrett in love and Steph unsure about dating a boy so much younger than she.
With holidays and work travel, the two always seemed to find time to spend with one another. "Casual meet-ups" were soon rebranded as, "the best dates I've ever been on." Steph fell for Jarrett as he showed her around NYC, realizing how fun life is getting to explore the city with your best friend. Turns out a one year age gap isn't that big after all!
Since then they've driven cross-country and explored the world together, adopted their cat, Tap, and lived a life hosting friends and family. They are so proud of their little family and are excited to have you join them as they make it "official."
The Proposal
PLOT TWIST: She didn't get engaged in Europe!
— Jarrett surprised Steph on a "secret date night" – a fun tradition we do where one person plans a day and the other goes along with it. With a little hunch that they might be going to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, they left for the day. The thing was, Steph was convinced she was getting engaged in Europe on the upcoming family trip to Vienna. Surrounded by magnolias, Jarrett asked Steph to marry him. The domino effect of surprises started and there were photographers, date nights, and secret plans Jarrett had been working up in the background. They spent the weekend surrounded by the love of friends and family.
