The show must go on! We have decided to go ahead with the our wedding ceremony and reception. As of now (August 8th) Alberta is in Phase 2 and we are allowed to have 45 people at our indoor venue (with restrictions). To keep everyone safe we will be providing everyone with custom masks at our reception, and our venue is gladly working with us to keep everyone safe. We will be having a plated meal service and tables will be kept 2 meters apart. In addition, we will be trying to our best to keep everyone seated with their families/social cohorts, with 6 people max per table. We would love to see you all celebrate with us, but we completely understand if you are uncomfortable or unable to travel. For those that can't make it, we are going to live stream our wedding ceremony (more details to follow). The health and safety of our family and friends comes first. If you are unsure right now, that is fine. We are asking you to RSVP as soon as possible so we can plan for numbers. Stay safe!
We have blocked off hotel rooms from Sunday Sept 6th to Sunday Sept 13th, though you can choose which days and how long you want to stay! We recommend flying in on the Tuesday at the latest in case there are any problems or flight cancellations during this time.
We definitely recommend renting a car as there are so many things to do within Calgary and the surrounding areas. The night of the wedding we will be providing a shuttle from the hotel to the Baron and back, so you don't need to worry about drinking and driving that night!
Some of our favourite affordable restaurants include Applebee's, Jerusalem Shawarma, the Rec Room. More expensive options include Modern Steak, Notables, and Ruth's Chris Steakhouse.
We chose to abstain from a registry as we have been living together for 3 years and we already have everything we need! Your presence is gift enough, but if you are feeling particularly generous, we would love and appreciate a donation towards our honeymoon.
If your name doesn't pop up when trying to RSVP, please contact either Bryan or Shannon and we will correct this for you! :)
We do appreciate you wanting to bring your little ones to our special day, however, we respectfully request there be no children under 10 years of age at our ceremony or reception. For our out of town guests, please let us know if you need childcare as we will arrange this for you so you can enjoy the night!
