Woudu and Jamal's love story started at a boutique hotel in Chicago's Wicker Park. Their first attempt at a date happened a few days later when Jamal asked Woudu to join him at the Garfield Park Conservatory. She was super excited and even left her nursing school early to make it. But, here's the twist – Jamal’s overnight shifts got the best of him, and he ended up sleeping through their date, creating what's now one of their all-time favorite funny stories. Woudu thinking she had been stood up, turned to her friends for some comfort, and they decided to turn things around by taking her out for drinks.
