let's celebrate

During their vacation in Hawaii, Jason surprised Rachael with a secluded sunset picnic for the two of them overlooking the ocean at Kahe Point in Oahu. They started off with an extensive charcuterie board, POG (passion fruit, orange & guava) Mimosas, followed by desserts. While they sat, a couple of stray dogs approached them, and they were too cute to say no to, so Rachael asked Jason if they could share some of their charcuterie with them. (Of course, he passed the test, and fed the poor 3-legged pup.) After the desserts, Jason changed the music to a song that he wrote for Rachael and recorded before their trip. He then asked her to marry him, and of course, she said yes. (Well in actuality she nodded yes emphatically because she was crying too much).

Rachael and Jason met on an online dating app, OKcupid (a 99% compatibility match!) Based on Rachael's profile, Jason's first question was about her favorite cocktail. After a week or two of chatting, Jason chose Mercury Café in Denver for their first date. The plan was to have dinner and maybe do some dancing. Little did Rachael know, that Jason arrived at the café a full hour before their date to take a refresher class on swing dancing. By the end of dinner, Rachael was too nervous to go dancing, and Jason was secretly relieved. (The class hadn't gone quite as well as he'd hoped). So instead they kept talking and walked around Denver's 16th Street Mall with some gelato.
