Question

Will COVID-19 impact the wedding?

Answer

The bride and groom have both been fully vaccinated. We trust that each of you has made the best decision for you and your family as well. At the time of the wedding, we will be following any COVID-19 restrictions required by the state of Maryland and city of Baltimore. Please feel free to take any personal precautions you deem necessary (mask, sanitizer, etc.).

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Our wedding is an adult only event. We love your kids...we really do. But we want this to be your night off or mini-vacation. Besides, we want you turned (ALL the way) up at our reception!

Question

Do I need to RSVP? By When?

Answer

A RSVP is required to attend. Please let us know your intention to join us as soon as possible, but no later than July 31, 2021.

Question

Can I still come if I don't RSVP?

Answer

Guests will be checked-in at the reception. If you do not RSVP, we will assume you are not attending and a space will not be reserved for you. Please RSVP.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Our wedding is a black-tie affair. This means gowns for women and tuxedos or formal suits for men. The bride loves photos, so come looking your best! All members of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated are asked to wear crimson (or a shade of red) if you plan on participating in the Delta Sweetheart Song serenade.

Question

What is the weather like in Baltimore in September?

Answer

The historical average temperature for September 18 in Baltimore is a high of 80 degrees and a low of 63 degrees. We're expecting a beautiful day with perfect weather!

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

Unfortunately, we have a strict guest list and our wedding is RSVP only. Please do not make substitutions for guests. We will only accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception are indoors. However, the cocktail hour will be both indoors and outdoors.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please plan to arrive no later than 1:15PM to ensure that we can begin on time. We have a tight schedule to keep!

Question

Is there a shuttle to the wedding ceremony and reception?

Answer

Unfortunately, there is no reserved shuttle to the wedding ceremony or reception. However, we have done our best to make everything as convenient as possible. The distance between the host hotels, ceremony and reception is no more than 2 miles between the two farthest points, making Uber, Lyft or taxis very affordable options if you do not have a car.

Question

Is parking available?

Answer

Ceremony - There is parking available on the street and at the University of Maryland Medical Center Midtown Campus lot (located one block from the church). The entrance is at the intersection of W. Madison Street and Linden Avenue. Reception - Street and FREE valet parking is available.

Question

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Of course! Our only request is that you tag our wedding hashtag, #Wootenforlove, instead of individually tagging us in photos and videos. This will help us keep track of all your pictures, while allowing us to share our official photos on our pages when we receive them.
