Rochester
Coffee shop by day, Brewery by night - Forager on 6th is a culinary delight! If you like homemade ice cream, you're in for a treat - stop by Flapdoodles, it's hard to beat! If you're looking for good food, we'd recommend Crave sushi or Suncrest Gardens Pizza Farm - bring your whole brood! Prescott's may look like a strip mall spot, but it's some of the best grub Rochester's got! If exploring nature is something you wish, Quarry Hill Nature center is a great park and has an aquarium with plenty of fish! If historical houses you'd like a peek, the Plummer house and Mayowood Mansion are pretty sleek! (Don't forget to make a tour appointment ahead of time!) If you've got kiddos in tow, the Minnesota Children's Museum of Rochester is a must go! In need of a great Brunch? Check out Benedict's - it's the best of the bunch! (located in our hotel) If a delicious steak is what you crave, head to Pittsburgh Blue Steakhouse, you will rave! (in our hotel) PS. The hotel spa is great too!
Lanesboro
Nestled in the Bluffs of the Root River Valley, Lanesboro is the hidden gem of Southeastern Minnesota. The Root River State Bike Trail, rated one of the best trails in Minnesota, runs right through Lanesboro’s authentic 19th century downtown. This picturesque hub of activity invites travelers to indulge in one of many tantalizing restaurants or unique shops. Being situated on the banks of the Root River, there is opportunity to take a refreshing float down the river, toss in a fishing line or just enjoy the sights and sounds of the running water. The high ropes course at Eagle Bluff (book in advance) is gorgeous and a total thrill for kids and adults alike!
Mall of America
If you've got little kids, this is a MUST! Indoor theme park plus over 330 retail stores, they don't call it the mega mall for nothin! Attractions inside the mall include: Nickelodeon universe, Sea Life Minnesota Aquarium, Crayola Experience, Gameworks, The Lego Store, Blacklight mini golf, the Escape Game, Flyover America, Moose Mountain Adventure Golf, and more! Since opening its doors in 1992, Mall of America has revolutionized the shopping experience of tens of millions of visitors a year and is one of the top tourist destinations in the country.
Red Wing
One of the most unique and charming places to visit along the Mississippi River! Hike Barn Bluff, bike the Cannon Valley Trail, take a stroll through Levee Park or enjoy a family picnic on Sorin’s Bluff in Memorial Park . Pickup a “to-go” order from one of their local restaurants and enjoy the great outdoors. Family owned and operated boutiques offer a “down-home” shopping experience as well as the famous Red Wing Shoe store the one-of-a- kind Duluth Trading Co. bargain basement and the unique Red Wing Brewery. Seek treasures at antique stores, or explore the Arts and Culture to purchase a locally handcrafted gift. Don’t forget to take in the splendid views at their golf courses, Falconer Vineryard and Welch Village Ski Resort.

Rushford
The mother-of-the-bride's hometown, still home to the bride's extended family and Norman's Electrical Service, started by Christina's Grandpa 75 years ago... Rushford is our home away from home. They've got great hiking trails (the view from Magelssen bluff is gorgeous!), you can take the bike trail from Lanesboro all the way to Rushford's historic train depot, bowl at Nordic Lanes, check out the Norwegian Lefse Factory, or enjoy a round of golf at Ferndale Country Club. You can often spot eagles along the river, it's always a great place for a campfire cookout, and don't miss Jessie St. Java for a great cup of Joe!
