Lisa and Catherine played soccer together for a few years before Richard ever came into the picture but they really became friends when Richard and Catherine started dating. Lisa has become the little sister that Catherine always wanted. Lisa is kind, giving, honest, and supportive. It only felt right to seal the deal of sisterhood by making Lisa Catherine's maid of honor.
Chris Benavides Nochez
Best Man
Chris is Richard's older brother and longest friend. Despite their fighting as kids, they bonded over soccer, the gym, and their lack of attendance at school (kidding, kind of.) Richard and Catherine have always admired Chris's love and care for his family and his constant support. Richard can't imagine his wedding day without his brother by his side.
Jocelyn McFarland

Jocelyn and Catherine met in Kindergarten but didn't become best friends until 4th grade, when they realized that more than one friend was allowed. :) Jocelyn has been there for Catherine through it all. Jocelyn is full of grace, love and kindness. She hesitantly shared Catherine with Richard in high school and became their loyal third wheel. Despite the distance of going to different colleges, Jocelyn has remained Catherine's truest friend throughout her young life. Richard and Catherine are forever grateful for Jocelyn's support and friendship and can't imagine their day without her.
Ben Garcia
Best Man
Ben and Richard have been best friends since Kindergarten. Ben and Richard's friendship has always centered around their mutual love for cars and trucks. From trading matchbox cars in elementary school to helping each other work on, buy, and sell their trucks and cars. Ben has been apart of Richard and Catherine's relationship from the beginning and Catherine and Ben have finally come up with a suitable custody arrangement for Richard. Ben is always honest, never judges, and is truly happy for other's successes. Richard and Catherine can't imagine their big day without such a true friend.
Megan Shearer

Catherine and Megan have been friends for as long as they can remember. From summer camp to trips to upstate New York, they were inseparable for years. Despite Megan going off to college in Florida, they have a friendship that picks up where they left off no matter the time or distance. Megan is patient, caring and loyal. Catherine can't wait to have her by her side!
Sam Parker

Sam and Richard were introduced through their mutual friend, Ben, in 9th grade and immediately became friends. Richard admires Sam's giving, non-judgemental nature and his ability to make everyone in the room laugh. Catherine and Richard can always count on Sam to be there for them and are glad that he will be there on their wedding day.
Chloe Channon

Chloe and Catherine met in middle school where they bonded over familial ties to Standardsville, VA. Until recently they were sure they were distant cousins, but unfortunately they are not. Catherine and Chloe didn't become close, though, until after high school when Daniel and Chloe started dating and the couples starting going on frequent double dates. Chloe is charismatic, caring, and supportive. She consistently reminds Catherine to make decisions that make her happy because it is her one and only wedding day! Catherine is lucky to have such a supportive friend to stand by her side!
Daniel Dove

Richard and Daniel became friends in 10th grade, bonding over cars and trucks. They then became closer as Daniel began dating Chloe and Richard and Catherine started to go on double dates with them. Richard and Catherine admire Daniel's willingness and ability to help others, his caring nature, and his sense of humor. Catherine and Richard can’t imagine their wedding day without Daniel (and Chloe!) by their side.
Brittany Glidden

Brittany was randomly matched as Catherine's little in Alpha Delta Pi. Catherine was a little bit hesitant when she found out that Brittany didn't like Chipotle (I mean what kind of person doesn't...) but once she was converted they became best friends. Brittany loves well and fully, she cares for her friends without hesitation and at her own expense. Brittany is jokingly referred to as Richard and Catherine’s first child, and they genuinely value her friendship in their lives. Catherine cannot imagine her day without Brittany!
Brian Jones

Brian and Richard were also introduced through their mutual friend, Ben, in 9th grade bonding (again!) over trucks. Richard can always count on Brian to be there for anything that he needs. Brian has a kind soul and a great sense of humor. Catherine and Richard look forward to having Brian there for their wedding day.
Merryn Williams

Merryn was Catherine's very first friend in college. They bonded over their connection to her home town of Lexington, VA and their fathers' alma mater - VMI. They became best friends on the floors of their dorm rooms, bonding over food and shared values. Merryn introduced Catherine to Alpha Delta Pi with Chipotle and Bible Study where their friendship grew to sisterhood. Catherine is glad to have Merryn by her side!
Will Woodward

Richard's first impression of Will was daunting as Will stands at a solid 6'4. Quickly, though, Richard realized that Will is a gentle giant with a kind soul and a caring nature. Will is protective of his little sister, Catherine, but thought that Richard was a suitable mate as he loves guns as much as Will does. Richard welcomes another brother into his life and is proud to have him stand by his side.
Meghan Johansson

Meghan (Mj) and Catherine tapped into friendship in dance class as little girls. Mj and Catherine then played soccer together for years. Despite Mj going to different schools throughout their childhood, Mj and Catherine always made time for sleepovers. It seemed like every weekend "The Blondes" (Mj, Jocelyn, Megan, and Catherine) were together. Mj is a phenomenal photographer (check out our DC engagement pictures!), a caring and joyful friend, and a supportive bridesmaid. Catherine looks forward to having her there by her side!
Timothy McFarland
Honorary Groomsman
Timothy (TJ) was brought into Richard and Catherine's lives through TJ's wife, Jocelyn, one of their best friends. Immediately, TJ and Richard bonded over guns, their similar senses of humor and their career interests. Richard and Catherine admire TJ’s care, love and support for their best friend Jocey and for his kind and gentle nature. Due to family obligations, TJ will not be able to attend the wedding, but we want to honor his friendship by making him an honorary groomsman.
Leslie Woodward
Honorary Matron of Honor
Catherine's mom, Leslie, went from "evil mom" to "best friend" in the past 10 years. Leslie is a great listener and confidant. Catherine truly cannot imagine her life, and specifically the last 4 years, without the love and support of her mother. Leslie will not be standing with the bridesmaids but Catherine wanted to honor her mother and their friendship by naming her the honorary Matron of Honor.
