FAQs

Question

Is COVID-19 (Coronavirus) affecting your wedding?

Answer

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have decided to postpone our wedding. This was a difficult decision and not made lightly. We firmly believe that until a vaccine is available and widely distributed, the risk will remain when in large gatherings. We don't know what our plans are as of yet, but please check our website for updates. We look forward to celebrating with you in the future. (Updated: 4/2/2020)

Question

Do you have any recommendations for hotels?

Answer

Yes! The official Wood-Vogt wedding hotel is the SpringHill Suites at Hilldale. You will find the hotel information under the Travel section of our wedding site.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by April 5th, 2020. Keep in mind that our wedding weekend is the same weekend and the American Family Insurance PGA tour. While hotels may be available now, they may also fill up quickly. Hotel reservations utilizing our discounted rated are required by May 5th, 2020.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! We will have a shuttle running between SpringHill Suites and the Union before the ceremony and periodically throughout the evening.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive and be seated by 3:15pm.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

It is requested that guests wear semi-formal or cocktail attire. Examples include: suits, sport coats, formal summer dresses and cocktail dresses.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

As long as you indicated that you were bringing a guest on your RSVP, then we would be happy to accommodate your date. Unfortunately, once final numbers are confirmed we cannot accommodate extra people.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! Our reception venue can accommodate those who are vegetarian, vegan, or those who have a food allergy. Please contact the grooms as soon as possible. Email Tyler and John at: WoodVogt@gmail.com.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Complimentary parking will not be provided. The Helen C. White Library is located at 600 North Park Street, across Park Street from the Memorial Union (venue). Parking is also available at the State Street Campus Garage located at 415 North Lake Street. This ramp is near the southeastern side of the Library Mall, approximately two blocks away.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes. The Dane County Farmers Market ends at 2:00 PM. There may be increased traffic in or around the Capitol. Also, the American Family Insurance Championship will be occurring from May 30th through June 7th at University Ridge Golf Course. Expect higher demand for hotel rooms in Madison.
