FAQs

Over the next few months, if you have any questions not listed here, please feel free to reach out to the bride or groom!
Question

I'm traveling in from out of town - where should I stay?

Answer

Please navigate to the travel tab of our website to find a selection of hotel options in the area. Our hotel block is reserved at Hotel Delamar, where the ceremony, reception, and farewell brunch will take place, but guests are more than welcome to stay offsite and explore local hotels and AirBnbs!

Question

Will the wedding take place indoor or outdoor?

Answer

The wedding ceremony will take place on the lawn overlooking the lake and the cocktail hour will be hosted on a covered terrace adjacent to the lawn. The wedding reception will take place both indoor and outdoor, with the seated dinner being hosted in the ballroom, the bar and dance floor located just inside the terrace, and dancing/mingling taking place throughout!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We are requesting formal attire for the wedding ceremony and reception, but please keep in mind that you will be spending some time outdoors! Temperatures on July evenings in Traverse City typically sit at around 70º with a slight breeze off the water. Women are encouraged to wear long dresses. Men should wear suits or dress pants with a jacket - no tie required. Please keep in mind that the ceremony will be in grass when considering shoe options!

Question

Where should I park during the ceremony and reception?

Answer

All guests are welcome to park in the main lot at Hotel Delamar! Complimentary valet will be available.

Question

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend arriving 20 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony. Welcome drinks will be offered starting at 5:00 and we will ask guests to take their seats by 5:15!

Question

Can I bring a plus-one or my children?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one or if your children are invited, they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for your understanding, and please feel free to reach out with any questions!

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by June 6, 2026!

Question

Can I take photos?

Answer

We would love for everyone to be as present as possible as we say "I do," therefore our ceremony will be "unplugged!" We have hired professional photographers to capture this moment and promise we will share those photos when we receive them. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos and videos as you'd like!
