Birmingham Civil Rights National Monument

A great way to get a sense of the civil rights history of Birmingham. Creating this national monument was one of the last things Obama did before leaving office. It's actually a collection of a number of different locations.

The Statue of Liberty of Birmingham, this statute is a monument to the iron/steel industry. You can go up to the top for the views and walk through the museum for a cool industrial history of the city.
