We know this is a big change late in the game, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. The current COVID-19 restrictions in New York State were proving problematic for many of our guests, both local and those traveling in from out-of-state. Instead of waiting until the last minute to plan the details of the event and potentially having an event we aren't fully satisfied with, we decided to change our plans and make the best of the situation. We completely understand that the NYS restrictions are in place to keep everyone safe and do not wish to speak badly about our previous venue or vendors at all. We also understand entirely if many of our guests are unable or unwilling to travel internationally with such short notice during such a trying time. We would love to see many of you in Jamaica, and many more of you signed into our livestream for the ceremony.
We will be getting married at Sandals Ochi Resort in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.
Please RSVP as soon as possible, but by April 1, 2021 at the latest.
We would absolutely love to have you celebrate with us! The most convenient way for you to join us is to stay at the Sandals Ochi Resort where the wedding will be held. This will make it easy to attend all wedding-related events, as well as allowing you to make the most of the time as a vacation. Sandals Ochi is an all-inclusive resort, meaning the price you pay for your room includes all of your meals, snacks, and drinks (alcoholic drinks are also included, if you wish to partake) on the property, along with dozens of entertainment options. We recommend looking at the "travel" page of this website for all the nitty-gritty details of how to join us.
You can do 1 of 3 things: 1. Call our wedding concierge, Rose, at 1-877-SANDALS, ext. 8342 2. Book yourself online at www.sandals.com/ochi 3. Contact your own travel agent No matter what you do, please remember to use our group code so that you are included in the wedding party in the resort records: WG21148635.
Currently, Jamaica is requiring a negative COVID-19 test result within 72 hours of travel, along with a pre-authorization travel form, which can be found and filled out online less than 5 days before arriving. These guidelines are subject to change and can be found online at www.visitjamaica.com. To re-enter the US, you must present a negative COVID-19 test result. Tests will be offered free-of-charge on-site to resort guests at Sandals Ochi. Please note that if you stay at another resort in Jamaica, you will need to check with that hotel to see if they offer COVID-19 testing. Please also remember to check your state travel restrictions, as they will differ for every state.
Yes, Sandals is currently including travel insurance. The details can be found online at https://www.sandals.com/covid-19-updates/.
The dress code varies around the resort, with some locations requesting resort casual attire and some requesting resort evening attire. For your reference, taken from the Sandals website: Resort casual: Shorts or jeans, t-shirts or polo shirts. Swimwear must be covered. Shirts and footwear required. Resort evening: Dress pants or jeans for men, long or short sleeve dress shirts (with or without collar). Dress shoes or sandals. No shorts, t-shirts, sleeveless shirts, sneakers, flip flops or slippers. No hats.
Yes, you can! Please feel free to compare rates between Sandals and other local hotels, keeping in mind that those attending from other hotels will need to purchase a "wedding pass" to the resort in order to attend the wedding. These passes cost $145 per adult and $70 per child, and only grant you access to the resort for the wedding. You must leave immediately after, and you will need to pay an additional $65 per person upon arrival for a rapid COVID test to earn access. For a couple, this will total $420 for the wedding passes and antigen tests to attend just the wedding, in addition to the taxi fee to get to Sandals. Please keep this cost in mind when you're comparing different hotel rates.
Yes. The passport must be valid for at least 6 months after your vacation to be valid to enter Jamaica. Please see US passport requirements at https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports.html.
While we love your kids - really, we do - the resort is adults-only. Guests traveling with children are welcome to reserve a room at the sister resort, Beaches Ocho Rios. Please let us know if you plan to attend the wedding from the Beaches resort, as we need to notify the Sandals staff of children that will be attending.
Yes! While your love is enough of a gift, we know you all are very generous so we set up a registry to make gifting easier, which you can find on our registry tab. We have lived together for years and are quite happy with the home we've set up (the pup approves, too!). We know this is not how things are normally done, but in lieu of traditional gifts, we ask that you please consider contributing to our honeymoon fund, which you can also find on our registry tab. Traveling is our favorite thing to do together and we want to memorialize our marriage with new experiences and memories, rather than household items. For those who would rather give a physical gift, we thank you for your generosity and invite you to find some traditional gift suggestions on our registry, as well!
