Ryan and Elizabeth first met during his sophomore and her freshman year of high school at a local bowling alley through some mutual friends. One of the limited upsides of high school!

After a lot of beating around the bush and one in-depth discussion of ice cream flavors, the high school sweethearts started dating in 2014, right before Ryan graduated from high school.

After dating for over four years, Ryan proposed during a picture session on a cruise to Bermuda with Elizabeth's parents, who helped Ryan plan the proposal to keep it a surprise from Elizabeth.

After Elizabeth graduated from Union, the betrothed moved to Maryland. Ryan now works as a Senior Driver / Route Manager for a compost company and Elizabeth is completing a fellowship at the NIH, biding time until they get married and move again during the summer of 2021 to start their next chapter!
