Our Story

Our story began in Five Points in Denver in 2017. Both of us came from the East Coast and were living in a new city with a new, higher altitude. After a mutual friend introduced us (Alex Corona), we realized that we only lived one block away from one another. We became quick friends and were in a friend group that started exploring and experiencing Denver together. From our friend potlucks, game nights, and concerts, our connection only grew more and more. One day, during a friend's potluck, Vic made her family pork schnitzel recipe. It has often been said that the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach… After that, the journey from the friend zone to landing the girl next door began. I started taking every opportunity to hang out with her. From going to weekly pho dinners at Vivi Pho to always walking Baby with her around our block, to watching reality TV shows where I had no idea what was going on, the steady climb out of the friend zone grew into a mutual attraction. Never give up fellas, it is actually possible. Some friends grew suspicious, while others didn’t have a clue (Erik Gore). Our first date was on Valentine’s Day, for sushi at Izakaya Ronin. Since going to dinner one-on-one was pretty common and normal, the magic of Valentine’s Day really confirmed that it was indeed a true date. From there, our relationship and feelings for each other grew more and more. She was kind-hearted, patient, and extremely loving towards me, her friends, and her family. Our families met and grew close through not only their mutual love for golf, skiing, and traveling, but also through the similar values they instilled in us. I love her approach to life and could tell that she was a keeper. When Covid hit in 2020, we made the big step to move in together, even though that only meant physically moving one block. We spent 24/7 together, cooked every meal, worked out, and DJed and danced in the living room. It was during this period that I truly got a glimpse of what our future together looked like and I couldn't have been happier or more excited. It felt like home. On Valentine’s Day in 2023, I popped the question in front of her old building in Five Points where we first met, and also where I picked her up for our first date 4 years ago to the day. Kudos for reading our story! We cannot wait to share the big day with you and tear up the dance floor! Much love, Andrew
