Our love story began over 12 years ago, on a sunny day at the beach with friends. Joey couldn't resist the chance to get to know Ragen better, so he slyly asked her to walk from the Grand Haven beach to his car at the other end of the pier. Little did Ragen know that conveniently "forgetting" his keys was a ploy to spend more time with her. All summer long, Joey was trying to charm Ragen into dating him. Ragen was initially hesitant, but his persistence paid off and we became high-school sweethearts. After dating through the remaining years of high school, we moved on to navigate the adventures of college life at Western Michigan University. (Fun Fact: we had one class together, but Joey only lasted one week and dropped out - he would rather take physics than a digital design class). Together, we created countless memories and made lifelong friends. After graduation, we started a new chapter in Metro Detroit where we bought our first house together. This house became a home when we rescued our good boy, Walter. When you have dated as long as we have, the question of, "when are you getting engaged?" arrises more and more as time goes on. On October 28th, 2022, Joey surprised Ragen with a trip to Finger Lakes, NY. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary, as wine tasting is one of our favorite activities to do together (Walter enjoys it, too!). To Ragen's surprise, Joey got down on one knee and finally popped the question (well, he didn't really asked, just kind of declared they are getting married, but that's a story in itself LOL). We are so excited to begin this next journey. Thank you for your love and support throughout the years!
