Let's Get Married!

Erik and Bre matched on Hinge in May of 2021! Despite Bre accidentally giving Erik the wrong phone number, they went on their first date May 27th. Erik and Bre coincidentally both moved to Arlington in January of 2021 just five minutes from each other! After a couple of months, Erik asked Bre to be his girlfriend July 6th, 2021 while laying out at the pool during the perfect afternoon. The rest is history!

Erik planned the perfect evening and took Bre to one of their favorite places in Nova, Old Town Alexandria. Bre had been suspicious, but when they stepped out of the car and she saw no ring box in his pocket, she thought she had been wrong (plot twist, I'm never wrong). While waiting for their dinner reservation, Erik got down on one knee in front of the Alexandria waterfront and asked Bre to marry him. She said yes!

Erik and Bre share a love of traveling and have been very lucky in getting to visit new places together! Their first trip together was for Erik's birthday in 2022 to go see his favorite band, Bleachers, at Red Rocks in Denver, CO. The next year it was a very hot and fun trip to Key West where they ate way too much Key Lime Pie (Erik's favorite). Two weeks later they would jetset with Bre's family to Italy & Germany. In 2024, Erik and Bre joined Erik's family in Munich Germany. A few days later they left to go to London to see Taylor Swift at Wembley Stadium (shoutout Erik for the best Christmas gift!!) and wander all around London and master how to use the Tube. In 2025, Erik and Bre went to their favorite place in the world, Hawaii, to go see the Hestermans with Josey! They'll be heading to St. Lucia for their honeymoon! They leave the week after the wedding!
