Molly and Nate met for the first time at Camp Improv Utopia West in Cambria, CA. Molly doesn’t remember meeting Nate. Nate remembers Molly as “the girl with the lovely voice who sang about boys at the campfire.”
Nate posted in the Camp Improv Utopia West group seeking lodging for himself and Geoff’s visit to colleges in the LA area. Molly had just hosted her sister, two nieces, and an exchange student in her studio so figured “If I can host 4 people I can easily host 2!” Molly responded “Yes!” to the dude she didn’t remeber. Sparks flew. Magic happened. Geoff was weirded out by how well Molly and Nate got along. So was Molly. Nate didn’t want a long distanve relationship. A best friendship was born.
Nate and Molly had plans to go to Audium, an experimental sound sculpture. Nate decided to dress up and Molly suspected something was up. Nate was texting Nathan about secrets, but nothing was up. After the date Nate and Molly returned home to bake two of a million peach crisps and then take Darcy out for his evening walk. Nate put his mittens suspiciously in his jacket and suggested they stay in their fancy clothes. Still, nothing was up. A lovely walk through the neighborhood and down a tree lined street, Lexington Street. Nate pointed out a tree in a well cared for sidewalk yard. Molly oggled the tree and brushed the leaves, because Molly loves trees. Nate squared up with Molly and said “Okay, this is it.” Something was up! Molly lost her dang mind.
We did it! We got married! Now we're ready to do it again, with more family and friends with us in person.
