FAQs

Question

Are plus ones and children allowed?

Answer

Only those named on the invitation are expected to attend. We wish we could include everyone, but to keep things personal and manageable, guest numbers are limited. As for children, this will be an adults-only celebration, both for budget reasons and because the venue is completely open-air — beautiful, but not exactly kid-proof. We appreciate your understanding and hope this early notice helps with planning.

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony kicks off at 1:00 PM sharp. Please be seated by 12:30 PM. The bride plans to be on time — a once-in-a-lifetime event. Don’t miss it.

Question

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Everything will be held outdoors at Woodside Haven. We chose breathtaking views over temperature control. You'll forgive us when you see the trees.

Question

What weather should I expect?

Answer

The kind that makes you pack an umbrella. Trust us, Murphy S. Law loves to start drama. and sure, check the forecast if it makes you feel better: http://bit.ly/46cTQFH but seriously... bring. the. umbrella.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code is semi-formal. The location is a forest. The month is October. We trust your judgment — but as a reminder: cold and uncomfortable never looks good in photos.

Question

What will the wedding day timeline look like?

Answer

Here’s the plan so you can soak it all in from start to finish: 12:30 PM – Guest Seating Begins Park, find your seat, and settle in — it’s almost time! 1:00 PM – Vow Renewal Ceremony A heartfelt moment to celebrate how far we’ve come. 1:30 PM – Post-Ceremony & Activity Hour While we sneak away for family and couple photos, guests can mingle, play yard games, sip non-alcoholic drinks, and relax until the reception begins. 3:00 PM – Reception Dinner, dancing, and all the fun you’ve been waiting for. 5:00 PM – Cake & Dessert A little sugar to keep the energy going. 5:30 PM – More Dancing + Bouquet Toss More music, more moves, and a classic bouquet toss moment. 8:00 PM – Departure Window Start wrapping up, taking selfies, and saying your goodbyes. 9:00 PM – Venue Closes At 9 PM, the party ends and the polite shooing begins — we love you… now scoot.

Question

What type of food will be served?

Answer

We worked with our chef to build a menu that feels like us — a little cozy, a little unexpected, and really good: pulled pork, brats, marry-me penne pasta with shrimp, fresh salads, and a few classic sides. It’s delicious, it’s messy, and it’s worth every accidental smear on your outfit. Got dietary restrictions? Just reach out to the bride or groom ahead of time — we’ll make sure you’re taken care of.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

We’re keeping things alcohol-free with fun options like Italian sodas and coffee. It’s a choice that reflects our values, supports loved ones who’ve chosen sobriety, and our wallet has already thanked us. Dry weather? TBD. Dry bar? Guaranteed.

Question

Will you be providing a hotel block for out-of-town guests?

Answer

Yes! We’ve reserved a hotel block at Medallion Inn and Suites for both Thursday, October 15 and Friday, October 16, 2026 — perfect for anyone traveling in or attending the ceremony. Prefer a more outdoorsy stay? You can also book accommodations at Lake Ploenta, the beautiful resort next door operated by our venue. Options include Airbnb's, geodomes, tents, and RV parking — but space is limited, and we do not have a wedding block there. You can find full details and booking info under the “Lodging” tab on our website.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by September 3rd, 2026. Miss the deadline? No problem—just bring a chair, a sandwich, and maybe a gift to make up for it. We’ll pretend it never happened.

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

We have two convenient options for you! You can either mail in your RSVP card included with your invitation or RSVP through our wedding website. We appreciate you taking the time to respond!

Question

Is there parking available?

Answer

Yes, we have parking spaces available for forty cars, nestled amongst the trees. There's a fifteen-minute loading zone near the reception area, and a nature trail from the parking lot down to the venue.

Question

Can I take photos at your wedding?

Answer

The ceremony will be unplugged—we’d love to see your lovely faces, not your phone cases, while we say our vows. We’ve also heard rumors that any phones caught in the ceremony might get creatively edited into something… a little silly. So, unless you want to see yourself holding a garden gnome in the middle of the forest, it’s best to keep the phones tucked away until the reception.

Question

Can I post pictures to social media?

Answer

Absolutely! Feel free to post photos and videos from the reception. Don’t forget to use our hashtag #WixomWoodsideWedding. We can’t wait to see all the wonderful (or embarrassing) moments you capture!

Question

Do you have a registry?

Answer

Yes, we do! We’re registered at Amazon and Target, and we’ve also set up a honeymoon fund for that long-overdue vacation we desperately need. Your presence is the most important gift to us, but if you’d like to give something extra (or you plan to show up unannounced), you’ll find everything under the registry tab on our website!

Question

Where should we bring/send gifts?

Answer

Gifts may be brought to the reception, where a designated table will be waiting. For those who prefer to send something by mail, our address can be found under the registry tab. However it arrives, your generosity is truly a gift in itself.
