The Closest airport to Bend is Redmond Municipal Airport, about a 20 minute drive from Bend. We suggest pre-booking a taxi to Bend for the most cost-effective ride possible if not renting a car. If you're looking for a bit of a road-trip (or would like the possibility of a direct flight), you can consider flying into PDX (Portland International Airport) and renting a car to make the 3 hour drive to Bend. Car rentals and Ubers are also available at the Redmond airport. The best way to get around Bend is either Uber (which aren't as reliable as they would be in a larger city) or a rental car.
A quick tip for booking a Taxi when traveling from Redmond Airport to Bend, we suggest pre-booking a taxi (especially if arriving late) as they can be few and far between past about 8pm. We suggest renting an Air Bnb or VRBO in Bend rather than stay at a hotel. You'll definitely get more bang for your buck (especially if you split it with another friend or two also in town for the wedding) and have more freedom with your choice of amenities. In our opinion, it's nicer to have a little more space and to not have to share wall(s) with strangers!
