Lots of fun to wander around the Old Mill District, with lots of shops, restaurants, places to find treats/trinkets, and wonderful views of the Deschutes River are all close together. Summer evenings are also full of music floating in the air from Hayden Homes Amphitheater almost every night!
What better way to take in some views and relax on a hot day then to float a section of the Deschutes river?! Our public transit system even has trailers on their FREE busses to hold/transport inner tubes. You can rent inner tubes from a local business and enjoy a leisurely float in the cool Deschutes river between the Old Mill District and end up in Downtown Bend!
Another great place to wander and shop, eat, or drink! Downtown bend has a variety of restaurants, bars, and boutiques to explore and enjoy.
Year-round fun can be found at Mt. Bachelor! During the off season, Mt. Bachelor provides ample hiking, mountain biking, and zip-lining opportunities if you're looking for a bit of an outdoor adventure. Mt. Bachelor is about 35 minutes outside of Bend, but the scenic drive makes the time fly by!
Our favorite bakery in Bend! Fresh baked pastries and breads, and a wonderful brunch menu that features locally grown produce and beverages to die for!
A Bend MUST, El Sancho has a huge menu with tacos, tamales, chilaquiles, and much much more. It's wildly popular for a reason. A pitcher of their spicy mango margarita and a plate of tacos goes down easy to fuel you for your adventures around Bend!
Can't agree on who wants to eat what? The Podski is one of many food truck pods that can be found around town, and its our favorite one! Trucks that serve sushi, Thai, Americana, and even and ice cream truck can fulfill any craving you might have.
