Travel Update - Italy

We recommend getting travel insurance for your travel plans. So far all wedding festivities are on and our venue has been very reassuring regarding travel.

Flight

Florence Airport "Aeroporto di Firenze"

Florence or Pisa are both acceptable Airports for travel. Both require travel via Train/Bus/Car from the airport to San Gimignano and the Agriturismo where our ceremony will be held. Additional airports for your holiday could include Milan or Rome and you can make your way through the Tuscan hills! There is no bad option for flights yet each requires some planning ahead of time.

Rental Car Announcement

As many of you are planning to rent a car in a larger city on your way to San Gimignano - please note! You are required to have an INTERNATIONAL DRIVING PERMIT, or IDP in Italy. You can apply for an IDP through AAA here: http://www.aaa.com/vacation/idpapplc.html

All Wedding Activities will take place at La Lucciolaia. Villa Palagetto is operated by the same owners of La Lucciolaia, so that is a great place to book your accommodation in San Gimignano (see note above regarding booking Villa Palagetto).
