Andy Goldsworthy's Wood Line

Battery Spencer

You can see an amazing backdrop of the San Francisco city skyline and the Golden Gate Bridge from the top of the mountain.

Fort Point National Historic Site

This will give you an amazing view of the Golden's Gate Bridge towering over you.

Mount Tamalpais State Park

A four-mile trail with different sceneries, redwoods, greeneries, many stairs - this is Wint's personal favorite

Mount Diablo State Park

If you are too early for the wedding, you can go here first. Since you can drive to the top of the mountain, you don't need to worry about sweats. We were able to see the golden gate bridge and the SF city skyline from the top when we went there.

Muir Woods Visitor Center

Just adding here since this is the most popular redwood state park because of Planet of the Apes, and you can just stroll around. You'll probably need to make some reservations before you go.

17 Mile Drive

Napa Valley

This is about 2 hour drive from the bay area, but you should go here if you have time or if you are a wine-lover. We recommend Castello di Amorosa for wine tasting if you go there.

Lake Tahoe

This is our favorite getaway place - about 4 hours from the bay area, and makes you feel like you are in a totally different country. You can go kayaking or hiking in May. We usually stay in South Lake Tahoe, and the seafood from MacDuff's pub is a must here.
