Matthew and Winn met while they both worked for Cooking Light. Since Winn doesn't really like people to know her business, though, they didn't really acknowledge each other at the office for a couple years.
Matthew would say he was a smitten kitten pretty much right away, and the more time he spent with Winn the more he wanted to. Winn would say that she's not even comfortable with Matthew typing any of this. Next question!
We get it—we scheduled our wedding on a Saturday during SEC football season. That being said, though there won't be any televisions at the pavilion, there will be good phone reception for various streaming services and an open bar. Pretty good deal.
No. We didn't want chew up a lot of good dancing time with a fixed mealtime, so there will be stations set out after the initial "cocktail hour," at which point guests can feel free to eat whenever and whatever they'd like. Later in the evening, there will also be a popcorn bar and a Dippin' Dots sundae bar. So no sit-down meal, but plenty to eat.
We've listed some of our favorite things to do on the page titled thusly, but please feel free to reach out for any type of recommendations in the Magic City as we get closer to the celebration date. Whether it's restaurants, concert venues (there will probably be several good Friday night shows announced nearer that date), or anything, we're happy to have you in Birmingham and want you to have a great time.
