We're so excited to welcome you to town! Here are some of our favorite places in case you're able to do a little exploring around where we call home.
Old Ebbitt Grill
675 15th Street Northwest, Washington, DC 20005, (202) 347-4800
Old Ebbitt is one of DC's oldest restaurants and right in the heart of downtown. Their late-night, raw bar happy hour is our personal favorite but it's Titanic-esque decor and classic American fare is great any time.
Habesha Market & Carry-out
1919 9th Street Northwest, Washington, DC 20001, (202) 232-1919
Ethiopian food has been a big feature in the DC restaurant scene since the 1970's and Habesha is the perfect little spot to experience its big flavors. We particularly love it for take-out!
Rock Creek Park
5200 Glover Road Northwest, Washington, DC 20008, (202) 895-6000
Rock Creek Park is a true gem in the middle of town. If you're not like us and enjoy activities like hiking, this is the place for you!
National Gallery of Art – East Building
4th Street Northwest, Washington, DC 20565, (202) 842-6511
While visiting any Smithsonian is a worthy venture when coming to DC, the East Building of the National Gallery houses a vast collection of contemporary and modern art and recently underwent a major renovation, just reopening in June of 2021.
Showtime Lounge
113 Rhode Island Avenue Northwest, Washington, DC 20001
How could we NOT recommend stopping by Paul's very own Showtime Lounge? Fun Fact: We live next door so, if you want to egg our house, it's pretty easy to do.
Neptune Room
5405 Georgia Avenue Northwest, Washington, DC 20011
Come see what the locals call "nice Showtime"! This beautiful bar also has great non-alcoholic options and a fancy selection of chips. (Chili cheese Fritos, anyone??)
Thip Khao Restaurant
3462 14th Street Northwest, Washington, DC 20010, (202) 387-5426
Definitely check out our favorite Laotian restaurant if you like spice!
Izakaya Seki
1117 V Street Northwest, Washington, DC 20009
We love this tucked away spot, particularly if you can get a seat at the bar downstairs. Their small plates and perfect sashimi is just so good.
Som Records
1843 14th Street Northwest, Washington, DC 20009, (202) 328-3345
If you're interested in shopping, Som is a great stop for new and used vinyl and located in the heart of 14th Street, a span of North West DC that has exploded with shops and restaurants.
GoodWood
1428 U Street Northwest, Washington, DC 20009, (202) 986-3640
GoodWood is not far from Som and a favorite if you're looking for a well curated collection of antiques, boutique women's wear and specialty toiletries. Frankly, who's not?!
Lyman's Tavern
3720 14th Street Northwest, Washington, DC 20011, (202) 723-0502
Lyman's is the perfect stop If you're looking for great bar food and pinball with some of the best people in town.
Mezcalero Cocina Mexicana
3714 14th Street Northwest, Washington, DC 20010, (202) 803-2114
We love the tacos at this casual spot BUT! If they're too busy, check out some of the neighboring restaurants! They're situated on a great block for casual fare and conversation.
Smithsonian National Zoological Park
3001 Connecticut Avenue Northwest, Washington, DC 20008, (202) 633-4888
Nicole lived near the zoo for over seven years and was a regular visitor on Monday mornings. It's a pretty peaceful spot to get judged by orangutans.

1238 Maryland Avenue Southwest, Washington, DC 20024
ARTECHOUSE is an interactive and immersive gallery of digital art and our wedding guests are invited to save 20% off tickets to PIXELBLOOM, their current cherry blossom themed exhibit, with code VIVINGO20. Hooray!!
