5:30 pm on August 29, 2026 in the Grand Ballroom at the Drake Hotel. The doors will open at 5:10 pm, at which point all guests are welcome to be seated.
All wedding events will be indoors at the Drake Hotel. The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all be on one floor, but please let the hotel staff know of any mobility issues you may be concerned about upon your arrival.
Please dress in formal attire. We would prefer if women wore floor length dresses or gowns and men wore dark colored suits. Please avoid white, ivory, and light blush dresses or suits.

We do not have any other hotel room blocks set up. If you would like to arrange different accommodations for any reason, please feel free to do so. If you are unfamiliar with Chicago, the Drake Hotel is the in the Gold Coast neighborhood, and hotels or AirBnBs in the Streeterville, Old Town, Near North Side, and River North neighborhoods are all in reasonable walking distance.
Valet parking is available at the Drake Hotel for guests of the wedding, but due to the celebratory nature of our wedding, we would recommend using rideshare or a taxi to get to and from the Drake.
The National Weather Service shows the average high to be 81 degrees Fahrenheit and the average low to be 63 degrees Fahrenheit for the end of August in Chicago. Please note that the entire wedding will be indoors and will have air conditioning and heating as needed.
The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30 and nobody will be allowed entry after the ceremony begins. If you are unable to be seated prior to the start of the ceremony, you are welcome to join after at the cocktail hour in the French Room.
Kindly note that due to practical limitations, only the individuals listed on the invite will be able to RSVP and attend the wedding.
No, there will not be food served at the Welcome Party, but there are plenty of delicious dinner options nearby! We love Flaco's Tacos and Jake Melnick's. If you're looking for more traditional Chicago fare, Giordano's deep dish pizza is one block away.
We are excited to host our guests with an open bar for the duration of the Welcome Party, from 7:30-9:30. After 9:30, those who want to keep the party going are welcome to stay and start their own tabs. Streeter's Tavern is open until 4am on Friday nights.
We would love if guests wore casual attire for the Welcome Party. Streeter’s is a local dive, so elevated dress is not necessary.
